MEALS ON WHEELS OF SYRACUSE TO SERVE SKANEATELES

INFORMATIONAL OPEN HOUSE OCTOBER 15

Syracuse, NY, August 31, 2015 -- Meals on Wheels of Syracuse will soon serve the town of Skaneateles, New York. An Informational Open House will be held at the Skaneateles United Methodist Church, 26 Jordan Street on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 11:30 AM.

The Informational Open House will be an opportunity for anyone who’s interested in receiving home-delivered meals or volunteering to deliver meals in Skaneateles. Representatives from Meals on Wheels of Syracuse will be on hand to provide an overview of the program and answer questions.

When service begins, Meals on Wheels of Syracuse will transport meals from its Syracuse kitchen to the Skaneateles United Methodist Church for local volunteers to pick up and deliver to homebound seniors. Meals on Wheels of Syracuse is now recruiting volunteers in the Skaneateles area who are available weekdays at 11:30 AM to deliver meals. Volunteers are required to fill out an application and attend an orientation. Anyone interested in volunteering may apply online now at www.meals.org/volunteer or by calling 315.478.5948.
