About Us

Serving Syracuse With Consistent Care Since 1959

For many families, finding dependable daily support for a loved one can feel uncertain, especially when routines and health needs begin to change. Meals on Wheels of Syracuse was created to meet that exact need—providing reliable meal delivery and human connection when it matters most. As one of the earliest Meals on Wheels programs in the country, our work has been shaped by decades of experience and community trust. Today, that foundation allows us to deliver meals and reassurance with consistency, clarity, and care across Syracuse and surrounding areas.

A Trusted, Community-Supported Organization

Meals on Wheels of Syracuse is a local, board-led nonprofit and a proud member of Meals on Wheels America. Our work is supported through a combination of community donations and public funding partners, including Onondaga County ALTCS/DALTCS, NYSOFA, and the Administration for Community Living.

This structure allows us to maintain reliable service while staying accountable to the people and communities we serve. Recognition from organizations like CenterState CEO and the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce reflects our long-standing commitment to the region.
